That is  one  of the acehs tradisional song lyrics that usually singing at first to opening aceh tradisonal, art or formal ceremony…

Okay, in this opportunity i would like to introduce you one of the Aceh’s Tradional Food, called “Mie ( noodles) Aceh”. May be you’ve heard it

These  noodles  almost not much different with other noodles, it just taste better, and really tasteful foods, especially  Nusantara  flavors with a lot of spices.

There are several choice or way to cook, digoreng/frying, digoreng basah/wet frying :D, boiling, sauteing. I think it’s very hard to tell you its taste, so you should to taste it yourself… Because i have some interesting experience when i invite my friend that never tasted Mie aceh they were very surprised, they said that “wow.. Very fantastic taste, delicious”… i’m drooling.. 😛

If you want to try it, there are in every city in Indonesia, may be just one or two, but if you want a really taste you can visit Aceh province, Indonesia.. Or may be you would to cook by your self,  i give the recipe :


Ingredient :

150 gram beef or lamb, sliced be like into matchsticks

100 gram shrimp, peeled

750 gram meat broth

150 gram cabbage, slice it thinly

75 gram toge

500 gram aceh’s/medan’s noodles (mie giling)

2 cloves of gralic, sliced thinly

3 cloves red onion, sliced thinly

1 red tomatos, diced 1 cm

2 leeks, sliced thinly

2 stalk celery

1 ½ teaspoon of vinegar

1 tablespoon soy sauce

Seasoning mashed :

4 cloves red onion

3 cloves of gralic

3 pieces of red pepper

1tablespoon curry powder

1 teaspoon cumin, sangria

3 cardamom

½ teaspoon of pepper granules

2 teaspoon of salt

Complement :

Fried chips and pickled cucumber

How to cook :

  1. Heat oil and saute garlic, onion and tomatoes until fragrant.insert  the lamb / beef and shrimp. stir briefly
  2. Add ground spices and meat broth / water. Cover the pan, and cook until boiling (1-2 min). Enter sprouts, cabbage, vinegar and soy sauce, bring to a boil again
  3. insert the noodles, green onions and celery. Add salt if necessary. Cook until boiling, stir and immediately remove from heat. Serve with a complement. Serves 4

    sebenarnya ada satu lagi namanya Mie Caluek, made from mie Lidi, dengan kuah yang seperti diatas tapi kuah kacang, pedas, dan spicy
